Hi. I’m Max. 

I like to share visual and written stories, and solve design problems with solutions that leave a positive impact on the world. 

I’m the Gear Editor at Powder Magazine, and I’m currently available to collaborate on full-service digital content production, strategy, and management, copywriting and copy editing, and producing video projects.

Originally from Germany, I grew up in the concrete jungle of New York City before moving West to pursue a passion for the mountains. Currently, I split my time between the Tetons and the PNW and spend my seasons ski mountaineering, powder skiing, mountain biking, and most importantly, cooking. I’ve participated in numerous international expeditions including skiing off Mexico’s highest peak, mountain biking in Ecuador, climbing and riding first descents in Kluane National Park, and plenty of just-for-fun trips to various parts of the Alps, Cascades, Interior BC, and the Tetons.
